Risk Library
Human risks Dersalis anticipates.
Each Risk Library scenario states what it detects, when to use it, which sensors are compatible and how to handle the alert. Explore the ready-made scenarios maintained by the Dersalis science team.
3 scenarios
Fatigue
Fatigue is the decline in physical and mental capacity that builds up with long shifts, insufficient sleep, night work and sustained effort. It reduces attention and reaction time well before the worker notices.
Drowsiness while driving →
Alerts when there are signs of drowsiness while driving.
Compatible sensors: Polar 360, Polar Verity Sense, Polar H10
Fatigue accumulated over the shift →
Tracks wear over the shift and warns before attention drops.
Compatible sensors: i.safe MOBILE IS-SW 1.1, Dersalis app on the phone, Polar 360, Polar Verity Sense, Polar H10
Energy expenditure above limit →
Warns when energy use in a time window passes the set limit.
Compatible sensors: i.safe MOBILE IS-SW 1.1, Dersalis app on the phone, Polar 360, Polar Verity Sense, Polar H10
1 scenario
Heat stress
Heat stress happens when the body cannot dissipate the heat generated by effort and absorbed from the environment. Body temperature rises, the heart works harder, and dizziness, cramps and confusion appear, which can progress to heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
1 scenario
Man down
Man down is when a worker suffers a fall or sudden illness and stops moving, often unable to call for help.
2 scenarios
Heart health
Cardiovascular overload appears when the heart works harder than the activity calls for, or stays elevated at rest. Heat, effort, stress and individual health conditions all play a part.
Heart effort above expected →
Flags heart rate above what the activity calls for.
Compatible sensors: i.safe MOBILE IS-SW 1.1, Dersalis app on the phone, Polar 360, Polar Verity Sense, Polar H10
High resting heart rate →
Detects elevated heart rate even without movement.
Compatible sensors: i.safe MOBILE IS-SW 1.1, Polar 360, Polar Verity Sense, Polar H10
1 scenario
Vibration
Whole-body vibration reaches the worker through the seat or floor of heavy machinery and off-road vehicles. Prolonged exposure is linked to lower back pain, fatigue and spinal injuries.
Attention Test
Brief vigilance and sleepiness tests at the start, middle and end of the shift, read against each operator's own baseline.
