BioLink · Sustained Attention Testing

Attention evidence for fatigue decisions.

Brief tests of vigilance, inhibitory control and sleepiness — read against each operator's own baseline and connected to the reality of the operation.

Adopt at your pace

Start with the app. Connect when the operation needs more context.

BioLink Attention · App

Start without a wearable.

Apply cognitive assessments directly on the phone at the right moments of the shift, even in operations that do not yet use Dersalis devices.

BioLink Attention · Connected

Add context to every result.

Cross-reference attention tests with physiological signals, fatigue alerts, telemetry and operational context for a more complete risk interpretation.

From result to decision

A test measures a moment. BioLink helps manage the journey.

01

Fitness to start

Identifies when the operator starts the shift meaningfully below their own alert baseline.

02

Event confirmation

Helps confirm whether a fatigue signal detected by continuous monitoring reflects cognitive degradation.

03

Recovery check

After a break, indicates whether the operator has returned to their own reference level before resuming the activity.

04

Smarter models

Time-stamped objective results help improve the predictive models built from field data.

How it works

From a one-minute test to the right decision.

01

The employee takes the test

At the start of the shift or during a fatigue-related break, the test runs directly on the wearable or the app — it takes less than a minute.

02

Dersalis compares it to their own history

The result is never read against a general average — it's compared to that operator's own alert, rested baseline.

03

The team gets the right alert

If the deviation is significant, the operation is notified in real time, with the information needed to decide the next action.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask before adopting it.

Can the test result be manipulated?+

Reaction time and inhibitory control are objective measures — the operator doesn't choose the outcome, unlike a self-assessment. The comparison is always against that person's own history, which limits room for consistent manipulation.

Does the test work without an internet connection?+

Yes. Cognitive tests run locally on the device, even without constant connectivity. The result syncs once the connection returns.

Do I need a sensor or wearable to use it?+

Not necessarily. It's the only BioLink risk trigger that works through the app alone, with no sensor at all — though it can also run integrated with the IS-SW1.1 wearable.

Can the result be used against the employee?+

That's not the intent. The test measures state, not character — results should guide fatigue management (breaks, task reassignment), not individual punitive evaluation.
